Reclaiming June: The Sacred Heart in the Face of a Perverse Society

Reclaiming June: The Sacred Heart in the Face of a Perverse Society

In today's world, where moral values and spiritual principles are often disregarded, Catholics have an urgent need to reclaim the Month of June as a time to honor the Sacred Heart, particularly from the homosexual/ pedophilia agenda that specifically targets June as a direct blasphemy to the Sacred Heart. This devotion serves as a powerful antidote to these prevailing perversions of our society.

Counteracting Moral Relativism

A perverse society often promotes moral relativism, where ethical standards are subjective and vary from person to person and every individual can create their own “truth”. In contrast, the Sacred Heart reminds Catholics of the absolute truth and goodness embodied by Jesus Christ. Through the Sacred Heart, we can strengthen our commitment to moral principles based on divine revelation rather than societal norms, providing a solid foundation for navigating a sick and twisted culture.

Cultivating Virtue and Holiness

In a world that glorifies instant gratification, selfishness, and pleasure-seeking, the Sacred Heart calls Catholics to cultivate virtue and holiness. Reclaiming June provides an opportunity to reflect on Christ's sacrificial love and learn from His example of selflessness and compassion. We can commit ourselves to growing in virtues such as charity, mercy, forgiveness, and humility, countering the vices that pervade society and striving for true holiness in our lives.

Witnessing to a Higher Truth

By reclaiming June for the Sacred Heart, we serve as witnesses to a higher truth. Amidst the rot of society that rejects God's teachings on human dignity, sexuality, and the sanctity of life, public devotion to the Sacred Heart becomes a powerful testimony to the values and truth of the Church. We can be good examples to others by living out the virtues and principles upheld by the Sacred Heart, as the early Christians did, confounding the heathens and pagans of the day. We can present a vision of charity, mercy, and redemption that counters the prevailing norms of the world.

As Catholics, it is essential for us to actively counter the hijacking of June, dedicated to the Sacred Heart. We fight this moral relativism through fervent prayer, penances and sacrifices in reparation for the blasphemies and sacrileges committed against the Sacred Heart. We can no longer afford to sit by and watch the agents of Satan twist what is holy, into something that is sick. It is not enough to offer these things in the privacy and safety of our homes. We must march in public in the face of this evil to let them know loud and clear that the Kingship of Christ, through His Sacred Heart, will always reign. We can do this by participating in public rosary marches, prayer vigils and peaceful counter protests where ever “pride” marches or the like are taking place in our cities and towns. These actions can not go left unanswered. When he push back with the same fervor as these twisted souls, then we will start to see progress made.

~ JUNE DEVOTIONS ~

THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

My loving Jesus! Out of the grateful love I bear Thee,
and as a reparation for my unfaithfulness, I [your name], give Thee my heart, and I consecrate myself wholly to Thee, and with Thy help I purpose never to sin again.

V. Heath of Jesus, burning with love of us,

R. Inflame our hearts with love of Thee.

Let us Pray

Lord, we beseech thee, let thy Holy Spirit kindle in our hearts that fire of charity which Our Lord Jesus Christ, thy Son, sent forth from His inmost Heart upon this earth, and willed that it should burn with vehemence. Who livest and reignest with Thee, in the unity of the same Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

Remember, O most sweet Jesus, that no one who has had recourse to Your Sacred Heart, implored its help, or sought its mercy was ever abandoned.

Encouraged with confidence, O tenderest of hearts, we present ourselves before Thee, crushed beneath the weight of our sins. In our misery, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, despise not our simple prayers, but mercifully grant our requests.

~ Prayer of St. Gertrude to the Sacred Heart ~

Sanctity of the Heart of Jesus, consecrate my heart;
Providence of the Heart of Jesus, watch over my heart;
Unchangeableness of the Heart of Jesus, strengthen my heart;
Purity of the Heart of Jesus, purify my heart;

Obedience of the Heart of Jesus, subjugate my heart;
Amiability of the Heart of Jesus, make Thyself known to my heart;
Divine attractions of the Heart of Jesus, captivate my heart;
Riches of the Heart of Jesus, do Ye suffice for my heart;
Floods of grace and blessing that flow from the Heart of Jesus, inundate my heart.

O Heart of Jesus! be Thou my joy, my peace, my repose in this world and in the next.
O Heart of Jesus! adored in Heaven, invoked on earth, feared in Hell, reign over all hearts, reign throughout all ages, reign forever in celestial glory.

Amen.

~ Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus ~

Most sacred Heart of Jesus, pour down Thy blessings abundantly upon Thy Church, on the Supreme Pontiff, and on all the clergy; give perseverance to the just, convert sinners, enlighten unbelievers, bless our parents, friends and benefactors, help the dying, free the souls in Purgatory, and extend over all hearts the sweet empire of Thy love. Amen.
- Ind. of 300 days, once a day - Pope Pius X, 16 June 1906
